What is an EXPLAIN statement?
EXPLAIN is a statement for obtaining information about execution plan of SQL. The execution plan is the result of MySQL’s decision as to which index (or table scan without index) will process the query.

select_typeはクエリの種類を表すものであり、ズバリツリーの構造にそのまま反映される。
クエリの種類とはJOIN、サブクエリ、UNIONおよびそれらの組み合わせ。
